CALL LESSON PLAN


SPORTS AND FITNESS ACTIVITY
LEVEL  : Form 4
TIME   : 70 minutes (2 periods)
AIMS : To find specific information on a Website; to practice vocabulary associated with the importance of Sports and fitness activity.
LEVEL OF STUDENTS : Moderate to excellent.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
PREPARATION FOR THE LESSON:
1. Physical activities photos and videos regarding Sports and Fitness.
2. Locate sites dedicated to Sports and fitness activity.
3. Using the information from the site, prepare a worksheet.

PROCEDURE:
      Ask the students by showing sports activities video and photos of Malaysian athletes write them on the board. Ask them what they know about popular sports in Malaysia and issues related to it such as types, issues and what are their preferences.
      Distribute the worksheet prepared. They should think about the answer  by relating to their existing background knowledge. Tell students that the exact answers to all the questions are   available online.
     Ask them to log in the websites selected, and ask them to read and understand the content before complete the worksheet, making sure they check any of the answers they have already written.
•      Students should find out any vocabulary that is new or difficult for them. Discuss 
       the vocabulary problems that they encountered, and discuss any unusual facts they learned.
•     When all the students have finished, discuss their results. Tell students to prepare for a short or mini debate about the advantages and disadvantages of sports, using facts they have learned. Divide them  into two (2) groups and proceed with the debate
 •    Students should practice the usage of the vocabularies in the debate.

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITY

•   Students will be asked to relate all of the top sports in Malaysia by linking and describe any videos that they can find from the internet, in their group page of Facebook. 
•   Construct a sentence for each of vocabularies or terms that have been found and post it in the same page.
